When we competed in our first BBQ cook-off in 2003, I don’t think any of us thought that we would still be doing this 23 years later, but here we are! The Sine Die Smokers will be hosting our 23rd annual Cookin’ for a Cause and we want you to be a part of it!

As you may know, our BBQ team is composed of 40 or so members from inside and around the Texas State Capitol. Through the years, we’ve raised more than $1,100,000 for charity. The last few years we have raised money for the Central Texas Food Bank and Mace Massingill’s #nohunger campaign and we will once again be supporting their efforts to end hunger in Texas.

It’s our 23rd year and the team is READY TO GO! We would be honored to have you join us as a sponsor of our September 27th event.

As always, we will be inviting all Capitol offices to join in the festivities and all sponsors will be included on the invitation. Friends and family are also welcome to join us for lunch and support a great cause!

Below, you will find several sponsorship options - $5,000 ~ $2500 ~ $1,000 ~ $500 ~ and $250. Please note that the Sine Die Scholarship Foundation is a not-for-profit entity, but we are not a 501(c)3 organization. Sponsorship payments can also be made directly to No Hunger, Inc or the Central Texas Food Bank, both of which are registered 501(c)3s.

Your sponsorship funds allow us to purchase the food needed for the event. Guests will be enjoy some great BBQ and place donations in the donation jars. All donation jar money and additional sponsorship monies will go directly to No Hunger Inc and the Central Texas Food Bank in support of their efforts to end hunger.

We want to thank you for the support so many of you have offered us over the years - we have so much to be thankful for. This year’s event will be bittersweet as we honor the memory of one of our founding members, Jim Reaves, who we recently lost. We are heart-broken at his passing, but we know that Jim would tell us to keep doing good and keep having fun. This one’s for Jim.
